With People
Artistic and cultural education, i.e. the relationship with the audience, is an important aspect that the Company Ode et encore wants to develop further in contact with the audiences in Vienna and Austria, in France, where this question is a fundamental mission for cultural institutions and production houses. Also in partnership with European and International cultural institutions or festivals... Loulou Omer and her team always see this artistic intervention as a laboratory for experiments with the public. The process also questions the way of mediation, understanding, and a sensitive and adapted approach to people.
Through the creative process of a piece, the company also relies on the polyartistic approach “Choreography of a Sound Poetry” practiced by Loulou Omer by interweaving several artistic languages – choreography, music and poetry – in a performative gesture. The common thread that structures the whole is based in particular on the relationship between the individual and the collective, which makes the exchange particularly fruitful. This artistic action or intervention for and in collaboration with the people, the audiences, can take various forms, such as workshops, master-classes or participatory forms that bring together professional artists and amateurs. Such projects are always developed in connection with cultural institutions.
“Bridging the arts” Workshops linked to the artistic process of Curriculum Vitae
Supported by the District Council - Ottakring, District Head Stefanie Lamp
In parallel to the artistic process, and as a means of enriching it, a number of workshops are held with the audiences. These are understood as artistic and participative labs, the "Bridging the arts" workshops. They are developed in cooperation with cultural institutions. They culminate in a public presentation/restitution in the form of a short performance.
The aim is to involve audiences in the creative process, to learn from them and to offer them an artistic experience. Thus it is conceived as an extension of the creative process and structured according to specific issues and the possibilities of the host venue.
It's an approach based on the idea of a "bridge" that links and enables the circulation, crossing and exchange of distinct elements (languages, cultures, disciplines, ages, etc.) that make up a multitude. The bridge is the place where differences meet, giving rise to something new and inspiring a feeling of enrichment, vitality, openness and togetherness.
These are trans-disciplinary artistic workshops - dance, music and text and language(s) - specifically targeting senior citizens and/or intergenerational groups, amateurs, as well as people with different artistic backgrounds.
